This surah consists of 286 verses as a whole. On the contrary to this, Sura tul Kauthar is the shortest surah of the Quran. This surah contains only 3 verses as a whole.

Reciting and reading the Quran is one of the much-loved virtues by Allah SWT. It is stated in Ahadith that one who recites one word of the Quran will get ten rewards for that single word. Allah Almighty declared الم to consist of three symbols, which means by reciting this single word, you will get 30 virtues.

  1. The Age of Prophet Muhammad SAW at the time of First Revelation:

Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon Him used to meditate in the cave of Hira. One day during meditation, an unknown person suddenly appeared in the cave. That was angel Jibrael AS who brought the first revelation of Allah SWT to His last prophet Peace be upon Him. It is an interesting fact that Prophet Muhammad SAW was forty years old at the time of the first revelation.

  1. Quran and the Day of Judgement:

Quran not only contains the commandments of Allah, but you also get huge rewards from Allah SWT only for reciting the Quran. It will be interesting to know that according to Ahadith Quran will intercede on the day of judgment for its reciter. Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon Him said on one occasion;

 

“Fasting and the Quran will intercede for the servant on the Day of Resurrection. Fasting will say, ‘O Lord, I prevented him from food and drink during the day, so allow me to intercede for him.’

“The Quran will say, ‘O Lord, I prevented him from sleeping during the night, so allow me to intercede for him.’ And they will be allowed to intercede.”

  1. Prophets Mentioned in the Holy Quran:

Allah Almighty sent more than one lack 24 thousand apostles for the well-being of humanity. But name mentions only 25 prophets in the Quran. Among these prophets are Prophet Muhammad, Prophet Ibrahim, Prophet Ismail, Prophet Yahya, Prophet Zakariyya, Prophet Jesus, Prophet Moses.
